Smoking
Nicotine can be an appetite suppressant and because it enhances your metabolism can help you burn around 200 additional calories a day. However if you do smoke it can have a detrimental effect on your health such as increasing your risk of heart disease, strokes and many other health problems. If you do smoke and your worried that stoppingh will make you put on weight then try exercising for around 30 minute a day which can help you burn the calories that smoking would hav burnt or eat smaller meals throughout the day such as 6 smaller meals instead of thre large meals this can help enhance your metablism and keep your hunger at bay.
Making yourself sick
Making yourself sick is a very dangerous way to help you lose weight. Some people who think this is a good way to lose weight go on to have eating disorders such as bulimia. It can cause you to have rotten teeth due to the fact that you are bringing up stimach acid which will burn away the enamel on your teeth, it can also cause heart failure and in extreme cases even death.
Excessive Exercise
It is possible for you to put wighgt on if you over exercise. You may work out and burn lots of calories but by the time you are done you may increase your calorie intake to compensate for the energy you have burnt whilst exercising. You can cause yourself to become over tired if you do too much exercise and you need to make sure that you dont push yourself too hard try to have at least two days resting to help your body fully reover and to help support your metabosim and prevent hunger.
Starving Yourself
This is the most used dangerous way of losing weight. if you dont eat when you finally give in and eat your body is likely to put any weight you have lost by starving yourself straight back on. If you starve yourself you make your body experience a prolonged hunger which can cause severe damage to your body/organs and can cause fatigue, disorientation and even death. If you feel that you do need to drastically reduce your calorie intake then fasting should be done for no more than 3 days but you still need to eat around 1000 calories a day to prevent you having health problems. This is strongly discouraged though.
